Dr. Lewis is a third generation family physician and was born and raised here in Austin. He attended the University of North Texas and graduated cum laude with a major in biology/minor in chemistry. He then graduated with a medical degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. Dr. Lewis completed his family medicine residency at The University of Texas Southwestern Family Medicine Residency Program/Seton Family of Hospitals in Austin.

 

Dr. Lewis is licensed by the State of Texas and is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Medicine. He is also the Medical Director for South Austin Pregnancy Resource Center, is certified in office based opioid addiction treatment and serves as the President for the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association District 7. In addition, Dr. Lewis is a licensed ringside physician with Texas Combative Sports and often volunteers for local sporting events. As a secondary focus, he enjoys providing medical care revolving around men’s health issues.

 

Dr. Lewis started his private practice in South Austin in January of 2010 and Lewis Family Medicine and Urgent Care, his primary location, in Southwest Austin / Dripping Springs in June of 2011.

 

Dr. Lewis is passionate about medical missions and regularly leads teams to Peru and Haiti. He also enjoys spending time with family, traveling, hunting, golfing, and fishing.
